Welcome to Barrington Congregational Church, United Church of Christ.  There are many opportunities for you to become involved in the life of the church, and with its people.  Some of the activities that happen on a regular basis are listed below.  See the current church calendar for specific dates.  We invite you to read on……….see what interests you……..and then call the church office at (401) 246-0111 if you want further information.  Newcomers are always welcome!  We look forward to you becoming an active part of our church.

Adult Choir

The choir sings every Sunday, is open to anyone who loves music, and holds rehearsals once a week on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. in the Vestry.

Hand bell Choir

The White Church Ringers hand bell choir rings in the church service once a month, usually the third Sunday of the month.  Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. in the Vestry.  They welcome new members and invite both experienced and brand new ringers to call the church office at (401) 246-0111 if you are interested in learning more.

Youth Choir

The Sing and Celebrate Choir for children in grades 1-6 rehearses on Sunday mornings after church school and sings during the worship service once a month.

Adult Education

The church newsletter, The Bridge, and Sunday bulletin announcements provide information on current or upcoming programs.

Men's GRoup

This new group meets on the first Sunday of every month from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. in the Church Library.  All men are invited to participate  and the group chats informally about issues that relate to men's lives and faith.  The agenda is kept loose and the Rev. Jeff Larsen kicks of the discussions.  Strong coffee is provided!

Women's Faith Group (formerly known as the “Women in the Bible” Group)

This group is open to any woman who wants to deepen her faith.  The group chooses a book and then reads and discusses different chapters each time they meet.  They laugh, question, share stories and learn from one other as well as from the book they're reading.  The group is always ready to welcome newcomers.  They usually meet the first and third Thursday of every month, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m., in Room 6.  (Check the calendar for exact dates).  If you are interested in joining, and would like a copy of their current book, please call the church office.  Please think about joining this great group of women, and bring friends from other churches and faiths.  There are already several churches represented.

Adult Reading Group

This group usually meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at The Coffee Dept, 501 Main Street, Warren, to discuss a different book each month.  Information about the current book being read is listed in the church newsletter, The Bridge, or click on the link below.
