Mindful Mondays and Mid-Week Recharge

Brendan will be offering two separate interfaith mediation experiences this Lent. Mindful Mondays will meet Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M. and Mid-Week Recharge will meet Wednesdays at 12:30 P.M. for a quick spirit-boost.

Mindfulness Mondays

Lent is a contemplative season on our church’s calendar marking Christ’s journey into the wilderne ss to meditate and pray for 40 days.  During the 40 days of Lent we commit to deepening our own prayer life and our connection to Spirit.  To hold space for this effort,  Brendan will begin offering meditation sessions from 7-8pm on Monday evenings in our church’s new meditation room .  (Room 8)  The hour will consist of a 20-25 minute guided meditation, a contemplative reading or poem, followed by tea and discussion.  These sessions are designed to be inclusive for people of all faiths and will be open to the public.  The meditations offered will help us cultivate stillness in our lives and ways of releasing stress, as well as a way of deepening our awareness and appreciation of life.

Mid-Week Recharge

On Wednesdays during Lent from 12:30-1pm Brendan will offer a guided meditation in the meditation room (room 8) for those seeking a way of reconnecting with Spirit and finding a moment of calm during the middle of the week.  If you’re around town on your lunch break and want to mentally/spiritually hit the re-set button in the middle of your week, come enjoy a quick guided relaxation meditation.
